College of the Ozarks

Visitors to the Branson area will love touring College of the Ozarks, a unique work college where students work campus jobs in lieu of tuition. There are many sights to see on the picturesque campus, including the Fruitcake & Jelly Kitchen (where students bake more than 30,000 fruitcakes each year), Williams Memorial Chapel (a neogothic style chapel built by students), Edwards Mill (a working grist mill), McDade Orchid Collection (a collection of 7,000 orchids), The Keeter Center (a 4-star restaurant and lodge operated by students), Star Schoolhouse (turn-of-the century one room schoolhouse), and Gaetz Tractor Museum (loaded with antique tractors and farm implements). Literally, you can spend an entire day touring the campus points of interest.Tours are available to free of charge to charter bus groups.
